Outstanding Physician of the Year
Dr. Barbara Wade was honored with AIDS Healthcare Foundation's (AHF) Outstanding Physician of the Year Award at the AIDS Walk Florida in Fort Lauderdale on April 27, 2008. This fundaraiser was previously AIDS Walk Fort Lauderdale however the name change reflects the fact that some of the money raised will go to benefit patients in Northwest Florida. Plans are currently underway to outfit and staff a mobile health van that will travel to rural areas, allowing patients to be seen by our staff without having to travel to Pensacola. Additionally, an AHF non profit pharmacy is planned to be located inside the office in Pensacola, diminishing travel needs and improving delivery and counseling services. Melissa Bailey, PharmD, is already on site for medication adherence counseling and linkage.
